The Press department vision is always geared towards preparing generations of students in various journalism disciplines (print journalism, electronic journalism, directing and producing printed materials), in an effort to provide cadres qualified to work in press organizations and websites, as well as scientific competencies specialized in journalism studies.
The Department is keen on keeping up with the latest developments in the field of journalistic techniques through its academic, rehabilitation and training programs, and seeks to provide all the necessary means, tools and equipment to support these programs, and to ensure that they achieve their objectives to the fullest, through a constellation of faculty members and their assistant professors and lecturers.
The mission of the department is to provide a distinct scientific, cultural and social environment that contributes to the qualification of scientific and professional cadres, who then will graduate with many scientific, professional and field capabilities and skills in the field of journalism and publishing, as well as their commitment to professional and social responsibilities, the ethical controls and standards towards their homeland, society and nation.
